Notice for Visa Application
What is a visa?
A visa is a permission certificate or a stamp on a non-citizen applicant’s passport to enter a particular country. To apply for a visa to Taiwan, please visit a Taiwan Representative Office nearest to you.
Types of Visas to Taiwan:
Visitor, Business Visa: (effective for 7 to 30 days) A U.S citizen doesn’t need a visa to visit Taiwan for up to 30 days. Please apply for your visa before your arrival in Taiwan, if you are not a U.S. citizen.
Visitors from several countries may require a visa to enter Taiwan (Republic of China). The required documents are well explained on the Website of the Bureau of Consular Affairs. Taiwan (Republic of China) doesn’t hold embassies in certain countries. The application may have to be processed through distant ones. We therefore kindly urge the participants to clarify their visa requirements in advance to the conference date. Please note that this process may take over 8weeks.
